In a premises liability matter filed in Philadelphia County, Kevin Monastra and Chris Thagard represented a country club located in Tioga County. The plaintiff alleges he sustained a fractured clavicle and other injuries after a golf cart operated by his friend crashed while they were riding on the club’s property.
Recognizing that the case had no meaningful connection to Philadelphia and that the underlying incident, witnesses, and relevant evidence were all centered in Tioga County, our attorneys filed a Motion to Transfer Venue pursuant to the doctrine of forum non conveniens. The court granted the defense motion and ordered the matter transferred to Tioga County.
