Kathleen Plumer is an Associate Attorney at Margolis Edelstein with a diverse litigation practice.  She represents clients throughout Western Pennsylvania on various issues of law.

The majority of her practice concentrates on domestic relations cases, including divorce, custody, child support and other matters involving the family unit. Kathleen has successfully resolved many cases through either litigation or negotiation. She recognizes that domestic relations issues are truly at the heart of an individual’s life, and works very closely with her clients in order to achieve the best possible resolution.

She also represents insurers, their insureds and private businesses in all manners of civil litigation, including: automobile litigation, premises liability, product liability, construction defects and professional liability claims. Additionally, Kathleen handles subrogation cases. She provides advice, counseling, and assistance to clients at all stages of the litigation process.

Kathleen strongly believes in order to achieve favorable results, she must effectively communicate with her clients and apply her knowledge of the law to the facts in each individual case. She strives to develop a strong relationship with her clients in order to help guide them through the often unfamiliar and stressful litigation process, so she can achieve the best result.

She is originally from Northwestern Pennsylvania and returned to Pittsburgh after graduating from Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law. Outside of work, Kathleen enjoys exploring the local hiking trials, attending Pittsburgh sporting events, and generally exploring the greater Pittsburgh area.
