Stephen Banko is a partner in the Camp Hill, Pennsylvania office of Margolis Edelstein where he represents insurance companies and insureds in various aspects of tort liability, including first and third party claims, bad faith litigation and coverage issues. Mr. Banko has represented both insurance companies and agents in administrative proceedings before regulatory authorities in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.
Mr. Banko, who is certified as a civil trial advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy since 1998, is a veteran of more than fifty jury trials and has appeared in courts in more than thirty counties in central and eastern Pennsylvania, including the Eastern and Middle Districts of the United States Federal District Court.
Education:
Lehigh County Community College, A.A. in Criminal Justice with honors, 1978; Moravian College, B.A. in Criminal Justice, 1981; The Dickinson School of Law, J.D., 1984.
Professional Memberships and Activities:
Admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the United States Claims Court. In addition, Mr. Banko has appeared pro hac vice in New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland and West Virginia.
Certified as a Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, a Pennsylvania Supreme Court accredited agency.
Member of the Dauphin and Cumberland County, Pennsylvania Bar Associations.
Member of the Education Committee of the Pennsylvania Association of Mutual Insurance Companies. Past member of the Claims Committee of the Pennsylvania Association of Mutual Insurance Companies.
