Michael M. Badowski has been a member of the Pennsylvania Bar since 1980. He served as Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy's Judge Advocate General’s Corps and earned the Navy Achievement medal. He was a founding member in the Harrisburg law firm of Badowski, Banko, Kroll, Kronthal and Baker, which merged with Margolis Edelstein in 2000.
Mr. Badowski has extensive litigation experience in defending medical malpractice lawsuits throughout Pennsylvania; having tried in excess of 125 cases to jury verdict. Mr. Badowski’s personal practice is devoted to the representation of physicians, nurse practitioners, hospitals, nurses, midwives and technicians in professional negligence actions. He has tried numerous high exposure catastrophic damage cases involving specialties of practice that include obstetrics, midwifery, neonatology, perinatology, pediatrics, emergency medicine, gynecology, medical and surgical oncology, general and bariatric surgery, orthopedic surgery, family practice, internal medicine, hematology, diagnostic and interventional radiology, nephrology, urology, gastroenterology, anesthesiology, otolaryngology, oral surgery, pathology, pain management, psychiatry, pulmonology, hepatology, dermatology, critical care, cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery.
Since 1990, Mr. Badowski has maintained an "AV" Martindale-Hubbell rating which reflects the highest level of peer reviewed professional abilities and ethical standards.
Mr. Badowski was among the first of Pennsylvania lawyers to become board certified as a civil trial advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy which is the trial lawyer certification agency recognized by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. Mr. Badowski was board certified in 1992 and he has continually satisfied the Board’s five year recertification process.
Perennially, Mr. Badowski has been peer reviewed selected as a "Pennsylvania Super Lawyer" by Philadelphia Magazine and the Institute of Law & Politics. (2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010). The selection represents the top 5% of Pennsylvania attorneys in their designated areas of practice.
Education:
Mr. Badowski received his Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Villanova University in 1977 and his Juris Doctorate from the Duquesne University School of Law in 1980 (class rank 15/125).

Mr. Badowski is a member of: the Pennsylvania, Cumberland County and Dauphin County Bar Associations; the Pennsylvania Defense Institute; the Defense Research Institute; and the American Society of Law and Medicine. He is admitted to practice before: the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and all lesser Pennsylvania courts; the United States District Court for the Middle and Eastern Districts of Pennsylvania; the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit; the United States Court of Military Appeals; and the United States Supreme Court.
